Giving back with the Hands on Hearts program

'Tis the season for giving, and what better way to give then with the gift of life.

FastAid runs a program called the Hands on Hearts program, which is aimed at empowering survivors of Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) incidents that were rescued through the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) provided by our organization. This initiative allows these survivors to pay the life-saving action forward by generously donating a HeartSine AED to a charity or organization of their choice.

What makes this donation even more special is that it's made in the survivor's name, honoring their resilience, and also recognizes the distributor involved in the initial AED sale. We believe that shedding light on these heartening events through media coverage can significantly amplify their positive impact across our community.

Despite the efforts made during a resuscitation attempt, the outcome may not favor the patient due to underlying medical conditions or other factors. If a HeartSine AED is used during a SCA rescue, and the individual doesn’t survive, FastAid is committed to ensuring the continuity of life-saving equipment. We offer a replacement battery and pad pack at no cost, restoring the AED to its operational state for future potential emergencies.

*Conditions: All we ask is that the event data (anonymous) is downloaded from the AED and provided to us along with some basic patient information. We use this information to continually improve our products and further help us understand how to save lives.
