FastAid's blue food grade plasters are metal and visual detectable plasters designed for use in food preparation and production areas to ensure compliance with food safety standards.

Our plasters are breathable and flexible plastic plasters suited for minor wound care. Non-stick dressing pad provides cushion comfort for the wound, while allowing for gentle removal.

Contains 50 blue plasters with a size of 72 x 19mm each packed in individual sterile paper pouches.

Packed in FastAid's unique colour coded retail packaging, complete with easy-to-open box perforation. Also compatible as a refill for FastAid's Easy-Refill™ First Aid Kits.

No. HACCP and GMP certification apply to a food manufacturer's food safety system and processes rather than to an individual plaster product. What makes the plaster detectable?
Each plaster contains an embedded aluminium foil detectable element located beneath the absorbent wound pad. The foil is approximately 90-92gsm, 0.06-0.065mm thick, and is sized to match the absorbent wound pad. The detectable element is intended to assist identification by appropriately calibrated food industry metal detection systems.
Are the plasters guaranteed to be detected?
No. Detection performance depends on factors including metal detector type, sensitivity settings, product composition, packaging materials, conveyor speed, detector aperture size and the orientation of the plaster within the inspection field. For this reason, no detectable plaster can be guaranteed to be detected under all operating conditions.
Do these plasters only work with aluminium detection systems?
No. Modern food industry metal detectors are generally designed to detect a variety of metallic contaminants, including ferrous, non-ferrous and stainless-steel materials. Aluminium is a non-ferrous metal and may be detected by appropriately calibrated food industry metal detection equipment.
